Remote Online Notary service allows an eligible notarization to be completed through a live audio-video session with a Texas commissioned online notary. The signer must complete the platform’s identity and technology requirements before the session can proceed.

The starting estimate includes a $25 online notarization service fee and one $10 notarial act. Each additional notarial act is estimated at $10. The final quote may also include approved document, witness, or other requested services.

A notarial act is each acknowledgment, jurat, oath, affirmation, or other authorized notarial certificate completed by the notary. The number of signers and the number of notarial acts are not always the same.

The online notary must be physically located in Texas. A signer may often be located elsewhere, subject to applicable law, document-recipient requirements, and the online notarization platform’s rules.

You need a camera-enabled device, stable internet, a supported browser, valid government-issued identification, access to email or text verification, and a quiet, well-lit environment.

Yes. Remote online notarization sessions are recorded and retained as required by Texas law and the service platform’s applicable recordkeeping rules.

A document witness signs the underlying document because the document requires a witness. A credible witness helps establish a signer’s identity when legally permitted. These roles are different and may require different screening and documentation.

Subject to availability, Aligned Print & Scan may coordinate a document witness. The current estimate is $25 per remote witness and $50 per mobile witness. Customer-provided witnesses are not charged a witness-coordination fee.

Select “Not sure” on the service request. No witness fee will be added automatically. Aligned Print & Scan will review the request information with you, but cannot decide legal document requirements or provide legal advice.

The initial invoice generally includes the mobile appointment or dispatch amount and approved advance production charges. Notarial acts and other services actually completed are finalized separately. A paid initial invoice is not replaced by a later invoice.

Appointments may take place at residences, offices, hospitals, care facilities, or another mutually agreed location where the signing can be completed safely and privately.

Contact Aligned Print & Scan as soon as possible. A request to reschedule is subject to availability and is not effective until confirmed. Charges already earned or incurred—such as completed printing, an activated online session, assigned witnesses, or mobile dispatch—may remain due.

The mobile appointment or travel amount and completed advance-production charges are generally non-refundable after dispatch. A new mobile appointment base may be required to schedule another trip.

The notarization cannot proceed unless identity and technology requirements are satisfied. Platform, witness, or preparation costs already incurred may be non-refundable. A new session or payment may be required before another appointment is scheduled.

Aligned Print & Scan will attempt to reschedule the affected service. Charges for work not performed will be handled according to the applicable invoice and service circumstances. Third-party outages are reviewed separately from customer no-shows or device problems.

Accepted identification may include a driver license, state identification card, passport, or another government-issued photo identification permitted for the service. Final acceptance depends on Texas law and the platform’s verification requirements.

Yes. Printing and document-preparation services may be requested. Charges for printing already completed are generally non-refundable, even if the appointment is later cancelled or rescheduled.

No. Aligned Print & Scan is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal document drafting.

Yes. A notarization may be refused when identity cannot be verified, the signer appears unwilling or unaware, the document is incomplete, the requested act is not authorized, fraud or coercion is suspected, or another legal or safety concern exists.

Use the secure request link APS sends after submission. The portal contains Overview, Documents, Quote & Payment, Appointment/Fulfillment, Messages, and Activity.

Yes. When the request allows it, use Documents in your secure request. Documents you provide remain separate from APS deliverables and completed notarized documents.

Documents APS explicitly releases appear under Documents from Aligned Print & Scan or Completed Notarized Documents. Internal and unreleased files are not shown.

Open Quote & Payment in your secure request. Approve the quote or request changes first, then use the available Stripe checkout. If you paid offline, APS records that payment against the existing invoice.

APS must confirm business readiness, payment, appointment, signer, and document preparation before legitimate signer-specific Proof access is shown.

APS manages the request, quote, invoices, payments, preparation, communications, document review, customer release, and completion. Proof performs identity verification, KBA, credential analysis, the live meeting, signing, certificate and seal work, and provider compliance records.

APS waits for the completed document from Proof, retrieves it through the secure integration, reviews it, and explicitly releases it to your portal when eligible. Proof completion alone is not customer release.

Use the available request action or Customer Support. Requests remain pending until APS reviews and confirms them; completed work or incurred provider, witness, production, or dispatch charges may remain due.

Use Request Cancellation in your secure request or contact Customer Support. Your request stays unchanged while APS reviews work already performed, committed resources, nonrecoverable costs, and refund eligibility.

Any refund depends on service type and stage. APS refunds unperformed or unearned service while accounting for legitimately earned work, reserved capacity, consumed materials, travel, and actual nonrecoverable provider costs.

At least 24 hours before the appointment there is generally no late-cancellation charge. From 2–24 hours APS may apply up to $25. Inside 2 hours or for a no-show APS may retain up to the current $50 Mobile Appointment Base when meaningful capacity, travel, or preparation was committed. APS may waive an amount based on the circumstances.

APS reviews the actual RON stage and any real nonrecoverable Proof, witness, identity, or platform cost. APS does not invent a fixed Proof fee, does not falsely complete the transaction, and does not treat an already performed notarization as an ordinary cancellation.

You may request cancellation, but completed work, consumed materials, and authorized production may remain due. Unperformed work may be refundable. Correct production from a customer-supplied wrong source file is not an APS production error.

APS initiates approved refunds promptly. The time for funds to appear depends on the original payment method, payment provider, and financial institution.

APS sends a confirmation after an authoritative refund is recorded. Your secure request shows the customer-safe refund state and the paid, refunded, net retained, and outstanding amounts where applicable.

APS refunds unearned APS charges and does not retain a cancellation charge merely because APS cancelled. Any actual nonrecoverable external cost is reviewed under the disclosed policy and circumstances.

Use Manage This Request in the secure portal or contact Customer Support with your APS reference. APS confirms whether a proposed date, fulfillment change, or other request is available before it becomes effective.
